Healing Benefits of L-Lysine

Healing Benefits of L-Lysine

L-lysine is a foundational amino acid that is most commonly known as being a building block of protein and as a helpful supplement for preventing and addressing cold sores. But L-lysine offers much more than this.

Powerful Weapon Against Viruses

L-lysine doesn’t just fight the Herpes Simplex virus that causes cold sores. It hinders and stops all herpetic family viruses, which is critical because this family of viruses are responsible for hundreds of different chronic symptoms and illnesses that millions of people across the globe are suffering with. Medical science and research does not yet know this, which is one of the main reasons so many still suffer. If the true cause of so many illnesses and symptoms isn’t yet known by medical communities, how can someone get the answers they need to heal and end their suffering from their doctor or natural health practitioner? Thankfully, the Medical Medium information is reaching more and more doctors and health practitioners who are using it to help their patients and clients recover their health.

There are many viruses that fall within the herpes family, all of which have multiple undiscovered strains. At this time, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) has over 60 strains, shingles has 31 (both rashing and non-rashing), HSV-1 has close to 10 strains, HSV-2 has around 15 strains, plus other Herpes Simplex viruses. Then there’s 20 strains of cytomegalovirus causing health issues and many undiscovered strains of Human Herpesvirus (HHV). These viruses are responsible for more symptoms and conditions than you could imagine.

If you or someone you love suffers with canker sores, cold sores, other mouth and tongue sores, chronic fatigue, cancer, eczema, multiple sclerosis, migraines, colitis, autoimmune conditions, insomnia, hot flashes, thyroid problems, aches and pains, rheumatoid arthritis, weight struggles, eye floaters, tingles, numbness, dizziness, burning pain, frozen shoulder, heart palpitations, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, goiters, twitches, muscle spasms, Raynaud’s syndrome, psoriasis, sarcoidosis, diminishing vision, parkinson’s, ALS, neuropathy, joint pain, or hundreds of others, it means you have a virus inside your body that’s causing your health problems. In order to heal and prevent future worsening of symptoms or the onset of other illnesses and symptoms, it’s critical you know how to lower the viral load in your body. L-lysine is one of the critical supplements that can help you do this. It impairs the ability of viral cells to move and reproduce.

L-lysine is a powerful weapon against cancers, liver disease, inflammation, and all of the symptoms and conditions caused by viruses, which means all of the above and more.

Liver and Immune System Support

I share in Liver Rescue that “L-lysine enters the liver and acts as a smokescreen to all of the viruses that are responsible for liver disease and autoimmune disorders. Viruses hate lysine. It’s like the powder that comes out of a fire extinguisher—a viral retardant that deters viruses from proliferating. L-lysine strengthens the immune system in the liver and aids in some of the organ’s most important functions.”

Anti-Inflammatory

L-lysine acts as an anti-inflammatory to the entire nervous system, especially the central nervous system and the vagus and phrenic nerves. This is because L-lysine inhibits and reduces viral loads, which means there’s less viral neurotoxins produced to inflame the nervous system. For more on how viruses create neurotoxins and the conditions this leads to, you can read Thyroid Healing.

Supplementing with L-lysine

If you’re dealing with a chronic symptom or illness, taking only 500mg of L-lysine a day (as is commonly recommended) might not be sufficient. If you’re fighting off Epstein-Barr or another aggravating herpes family virus, including those that cause cold sores and canker sores, a higher dosage of L-lysine may be necessary. That being said, it is important to discuss the exact dosage you plan on taking with a practitioner so that you can best support your specific health issues. If you aren’t struggling with a symptom or condition, but want to help shield yourself from picking up one of the hundreds of possible strains, taking a smaller dose of lysine can be a protective step. You can also refer to Liver Rescue for specific supplement dosages for various symptoms and conditions, many of which include L-lysine. My favorite L-lysine can be found on my preferred supplements page.

Foods Rich in L-Lysine

There are some foods that also contain L-lysine, although if you’re dealing with a viral-related symptom or condition, you may wish to supplement with L-lysine too, not just eat foods with L-lysine.

Potatoes are full of nutrients, including L-lysine. The humble potato is one of the ultimate EBV and virus killers and is wonderful to include in your diet despite it being under attack by many diet trends today. These diets and the experts behind them don’t understand how often viruses are behind chronic illnesses and symptoms, nor do they understand what the body needs to heal from them. Steamed potatoes without any cheese, cream, butter, bacon bits and other troublesome foods served with them are a deeply healing food. Kiwis, apples, cherries, and pears also contain L-lysine and are helpful to include regularly in your diet.
